I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and will definitely choose it again when visiting NC. The location is perfect, just across the river from historic downtown New Bern, making it easy to explore. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, which was a big plus during my stay. However, the dining experience left something to be desired, and the price seemed a bit high for just a two-night stay.

The rooms were within walking distance to a restaurant and were comfortable for me. I appreciated being able to adjust the temperature with the fan or AC. The fitness room was a nice added bonus for my stay.

The staff, from the kitchen to room service, were very understanding when I had a family emergency. They promptly attended to my needs as per the posted mandates and requests. The dry cleaning, housekeeping, and laundry services were top-notch.

The hotel is centrally located for many activities and close to everything, yet not in the middle of the hustle and bustle. I enjoyed walks to the historical area and sites, as well as the friendly interaction with the staff. Being across the river from downtown New Bern was a highlight.

The dining experience could have been better given the price I paid for just a two-night stay. While the home-made pies and jams were a nice touch, the availability of coffee and milk containers was inconsistent, and I had to go to the front desk for a refill.
